Dear Lux,

How are you getting on, it is a long time since I have seen you. [On] Sunday morning Frank Fitzgerald … came and took a photo of Jack and Jasper, he gave us one, did he send you one.

It was Frank Fitzgerald’s 21st birthday last friday and he gave a party in the night, they were saying they wished you were down for it. The nuns opened a new convent in Rennick’s place today, I may go to it after Christmas and also Jack.

Eileen and Wilbur have had sties in their eyes and are just over them. //

[page 2] We returned to school today after a holiday of three weeks. When are you coming down, I hope it will be soon. We brought Jack to the Museum on Friday and when he got inside the door of the room where the animals were he said “Cripes” he was so interested in everything, I don’t think he was quite sure whether the Tiger with its mouth open was going to eat him or not. Did you get the boots Papa sent you, he was surprised that you did not send an acknowledgement of your receipt of them.

I remain your loving sister

Mary
